The House

 

On the ground floor of the house there is a cosy lounge, bathroom with large bathtub, kitchen dining room and a spacious double bedroom. Upstairs there are two quadruple bedrooms and a double bedroom and a further bathroom with shower.

Bed layout:

• Downstairs bedroom – 1 x 160cm wide double bed

• Upstairs large bedroom – 4 x 90cm single beds

• Upstairs medium bedroom – 3 x 90cm single beds and 1 x 80cm single bed

• Upstairs small bedroom – 1 x 140cm double bed

Each bed is fully equipped with fresh bed linen and bath towel

• Free high speed WiFi is available throughout the house. 

• Smart television in the living room

• In the colder months, a modern gas fired central heating system ensures the whole house remains pleasantly warm. Downstairs the bathroom, kitchen and hallway areas are also equipped with underfloor heating for an extra cosy feel.

• In the warmer months, the house is ventilated with the provided electric fans. Mosquito netting on the windows also allows a cooling breeze to run through the house without the fear of unwanted insect visitors.

• Our guesthouse is child and baby friendly, offering the following facilities; baby cot with bedding, high chair for mealtimes, baby bath. For older children, an extensive range of toys and games is available for use.

The Garden

 

A 1000m2 orchard garden surrounds the property and is exclusively for the use of guests.

 

• At the end of the property a terrace area is perched above a bubbling stream which flows directly from the nearby cave system. Views from the terrace stretch up into the rolling forested hills of the national park.

• Outside covered dining area for up to 12 people.

• There is space for up to 3 cars to park in front of the house.

• Large 58 x 42cm wheeled barbecue for large groups

• Small round barbecue for smaller groups

• 14 litre 'Bogracs' fire cauldron with tripod

• Range of skewers, tongs and other grilling utensils

Local restaurants and shops

​

There are three excellent restaurants within easy walking distance of the guesthouse:

• The Old Mill Inn (Oreg Malom) is only a 2 minute walk away. It is located within a beautiful old renovated mill and serves traditional local Hungarian cuisine.

• The Tengerszem Hotel Restaurant is a 15 minute woodland walk away and also serves delicious Hungarian food.

• The Levendula Bistro, owned and operated by the local Trizsi Izek jam company, is less than a minutes walk from the guesthouse and serves a mix of light food and drink.

There is a well stocked grocery shop in the village centre a few minutes walk from the house (Opening hours – Mon – Fri 07.30 – 17.00 Sat 07.30 – 14.00 Sun 07.30 – 11.00)

There is also an ice cream shop (Open May – September), a post office (Open: Mon-Fri: 8.30-13.00, cash withdrawal available) and a pub in the centre of the village.
